01 | PROJECT OBJECTIVE

Over the course of three months, I developed around 60+ bioplastic samples to use in industrial processes to manufacture sustainable design solutions. We aimed to develop a material similar to plastic sheets but made from natural sources.

03 | R&D

Research and Development

Our R&D process involved creating bioplastic samples using a combination of starch, acid, plasticizer, and solvent - experimenting with different ratios to study texture, durability, and flexibility.

Personal Takeaways

Personally, it felt like running my own bioplastics lab, experimenting, modifying recipes and testing every day. Towards the end of this project, we narrowed down on one sample that was then handed over to a team of manufacturing experts to bring this project to life.
